Tonight we fly to far-flung corners to find levity, to thaw winter’s grip, and warm our hearts.  I’ll round you up on roof’s ridge in good old Vinton and off we’ll be to find our glee.  We’ll come to roost first round a camp fire in Tombstone Arizona and listen to a ridiculous tale of a bird that carried off, a goat and two rabbits to later use in trade for an Etch-a-Sketch to draw a drink of water.  It is a lengthy story for such a poor punchline, but whiskey shared in sips round campsite’s golden blaze make for boisterous laughs for all who join the fray.  Then off to England we fly in freshening breeze to seek a tavern where pints are poured and locals spin a story of a man who sought to join the sky by donning manufactured wing and tail.  But each time launch is tested and fails, he thinks himself too heavy.  So strip he must until last threads are gone and indeed he soars up high to maid and maiden’s surprise, when up they look to see what greets their pretty eyes.  With such an ending one would think silence might prevail, but voices roar and spirits fly in pure delight as one hundred times plus one this yarn has now been told.  We join whole heartedly as laugh breeds laugh until we bid farewell as one more stop we decide to make in that land down under.  We settle between a smiling group of Bloke and Sheila, and as before cocktails are freely offered to all who care to taste.  Though we are somewhat spiffed from toasts already toasted, we accept so not to offend.  And again all grow quiet to hear account of man who meets kangaroo in dead of night.  So gone his he with drink, he mistakes the beast for a love once lost at altar and down on knee he falls.  With ring he’s carried from the fateful day, he slides it on her claw and promises love eternal if only she would share a kiss.  But when lips meet fury mouth the man at once can see, that this is not his fancy and reaches for the ring.  He’s much too slow to take it back and off the flyer goes.  All around us howl and say you can see her to this day.  Again we join in laughter and feel the warmth of friends, but now it’s time to wave goodbye and we’re gone in the blink of an eye.  We smile that night and hold very tight as we drift asleep you see, and I would say without delay, we definitely found our glee.
