Let’s go water skiing. The sun is just coming up and the water resembles a piece of glass. Nothing to cause a ripple beside the occasional fish coming to the surface. The boat’s engine revs and quickly pulls us up. We glide across the watery plane at great speed taking turns jumping over the vessel’s wake. When the boat circles we accelerate wildly like we’re playing crack the whip. We laugh like children playing tag with our friends. In time our arms and legs tire and we let go the rope and skim to a stop.  We head back to the chalet where we’re staying and spend the waning hours of the day holding hands and kissing and sipping champagne from crystal flutes.
